Hulk happy with life at Zenit despite language barrier

Hulk - Zenit St Petersburg
Hulk has moved to dismiss reports that he is unhappy at Zenit St Petersburg and has assured supporters that he will adapt to his new surroundings.

The Brazilian forward moved to Russia from Porto at the beginning of September and has scored twice for the Russian champions, although there have been rumours that he has struggled to make the transition.

Reports on Friday also claimed that a bomb had been found outside the club's training ground with a photo of the striker taped to it, but speaking before the incident he was swift to dismiss talk of his supposed unrest.

"I think with time I will adapt, but it is clear that the fact that they speak another language in Russia creates some difficulties," he told R-Sport.

"Still
, I feel that the climate within the team is fantastic. I'm happy to play for Zenit, I have absolute support from everyone here. I'm trying to fit into the team and Zenit general
ly."

With 55 goals in 99 appearances for Porto, big things are expected of the Brazil international in front of goal, and he hopes to recreate the same form in the coming weeks.

"I have no problems with anyone. I'm just trying to do my job the best way that I can. I'm very happy with my role in the team which is to score goals," he added.

As well as vying for domestic trophies, the 2008 Uefa Cup winners are hoping to make their mark on the Champions League, but after a 3-0 defeat to Malaga they must now beat AC Milan to keep their hopes of qualification alive, as well as beating rivals Lokomotiv Moscow in the league.

"We have two important games against Lokomotiv and Milan. If we win these matches, we will recover our confidence in our own abilities. We need to win, and then I will just think about my goals," he concluded.
