McGeady would definitely consider offers from the Premier League, claims agent

Aiden McGeady of Spartak Moscow
Spartak Moscow attacker Aiden McGeady would be open to a move to the Premier League if the club received a serious offer, according to his agent.

The 26-year-old made his move to the Russian outfit from Celtic two years ago and, after a slow start last season, has netted twice in nine games so far this term.

The Ireland international was consistently linked with a move to England during his career in Scotland, with Aston Villa and Sunderland the main clubs reportedly interested.

The player's agent, Jan Dreyer, suggested there are still clubs monitoring his client's situation with his form in Russia picking up, while also revealing McGeady would listen to Premier League sides.

"There has been interest in Aiden from English clubs going right back to when he played for Celtic, so it's nothing new," he told the Daily Record.

"Now Aiden is doing well in the Russian Premier League and is about to play in the Champions League, so that will only add to interest in him.

"If Spartak received a serious offer, Aiden would definitely consider it."

The Glasgow-born winger will face his former side in the Champions League qualifying stages this year, with Benfica and Spanish giants Barcelona making up Group G.
